A delicious dessert served on Royal Copenhagen plate. Anthony Sargeant had this dessert a few nights ago – the crunch of the crumble contrasting with the softness of the panfried and caramelised Cox apple segments. The flavour of apple and blackberry perfectly complementing each other. Served with cream.
Ewes and lambs photographed by Anthony Sargeant in the field next to his Shropshire (UK) home on Sunday 19th February 2017. Spring is rapidly approaching as the days get warmer and longer. In the hedgerows snowdrops are everywhere and the first primroses have appeared.
It does not photograph well but was very agreeable. Anthony J Sargeant removed the bone from some rose veal chops, battered and coated in egg and breadcrumbs. Served with a poached egg, fried boiled potatoes, and a few crushed broad beans.
Shorty looking relaxed but still alert on the back of the sofa in the Shropshire home of Anthony Sargeant. Shorty was ‘inherited’ from Tony’s daughter when she left home some years ago leaving her pets behind for parents to look after them (two dogs and two cats – now reduced to one of each as age has taken its toll).
Anthony J Sargeant bought this haggis from the wonderful Ludlow Food Centre in Shropshire – here it is ready for slicing onto plates along with the traditional accompaniments of mashed swede and potato – This is a peasant dish.
